- I was told the reason for the high rates in Michigan is because that state requires "no fault" insurance. My agent said that adds most of the difference you see between Indiana and Michigan. But at least you get something for the extra cost.

- People have been lunch for lions since we climbed out of the trees and set two feet on the savanna. We don't hear much about it in this country because this is not their native habitat. In Africa, people live in fear for their lives if they live out in the bush.

- This theory actually makes some sense. Studies have shown no evidence that Neanderthals used projectile weapons, including the bow and arrow. If you can't chase it down and thrust a spear into the animal, it's unlikely Neanderthals could kill it.

- In the 19th and 20th centuries we killed wolves indiscriminately too because we feared them and they ate some of our livestock (though probably not that many). Then we found out how important they are to the ecosystem. With the number of wolves reduced dramatically the elk population boomed.
